In July 2022, after losing my job of 17 years due to the company going into liquidation, I decided to create a business of my own offering my skills, services and years of knowledge and experience in sales and administration.

 

Starting in an administration position within the company in 2005 at 18 years old, I quickly progressed to sales, and then sales manager and holding that role until 2019. Whilst completing my role as sales manager for www.DIYPoolfencing.com.au Pty Ltd and Absolute Glass Products Pty Ltd, I also enjoyed a large range of roles within the group of companies, including but not limited to administration, accounts receivable/payable and payroll.

 

For the first 14 years I gained an enormous appreciation and knowledge of how a business is run and all the inner workings. That is a unique experience I bring to all jobs I undertake. With an understanding of what it's like to run a business, I believe this gives me the extra drive to always do my best and to succeed for every business and business owner I work with.

 

In 2019 the group of companies were sold, but I was kept on in a similar position as sales consultant until the companys liquidation in July 2022.

Within my time at the group of companies as sales manager and sales consultant I worked with aluminium and glass pool fencing, front fencing, driveway gates and screens. I enjoy this type of work and look forward working with fencing companies again. 

 

I'm a solo Mum to an amazing 5 year old who I've been lucky enough, for the past 5 years to stay at home with while working virtually (long before COVID). Being a working SAHM brings the need for flexibility in my working conditions. Working virtually affords me this opportunity, allowing me to utilise all my time positively and productively while remaining present for my daughter and my own businesses at all times.

 

I started my own business Pretty Stitches in 2020, and enjoy sewing. creating resin items and texture art for my customers.
